A series of architectural interventions across Atlanta were proposed as a way to animate and link the disparate venues of the Olympics. A curving introduction center for arrivals provides for an orientation space; the large plaza adjacent to the indoor arena provides a place for visitors to remain connected to others electronically; a series of vertical transition elements connect "Underground Atlanta" with the Olympic reveler; and a new outdoor play field which occupies air space above a downtown freeway would remain long after the event as an etching of Olympic good on the host City.
