The new Crissy Field Aviation Museum will reintroduce historic reality into one of San Francisco's geographic treasures. Purported to be the only location in the world where both the hangars and the airstrip for biplanes remain in their original condition, Crissy Field's heritage will come back to life with a museum dedicated to an important phase of its history. Restoration of both the original land and seaplane hangars to their historic exterior appearance, along with the introduction of interior function spaces, will create a world class aviation museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.
